MERRILL – The Merrill Fire Department responded to 38 calls last week, bringing the total for 2024 to 1,742 calls. There were 4 calls regarding smoke alarm, carbon monoxide detector & alarm system activation.

There was 1 motor vehicle accident Saturday October 5th on Joe Snow Rd, no injuries were reported. There were 35 calls requesting EMS services, excluding the 1 call for a motor vehicle accident.

One call was received on Tuesday October 1st for a malicious false alarm on 10th St in the City of Merrill.
